1933 National Doulian Resonator

Pictures of the guitar as it came in and after repair.
The Guitar was made in Los Angeles, California in 1930.
It is dated by the serial number, pat applied for stamp,  plain edge f holes, lack of ribs on the cover plate, galvanised body and the roller over gear machine heads.
1930 National Triolian Head
Fretboard removed and truss rod tube taken out, fully disassembled and neck levelled.
Original ivory dots at 17th fret taken out.
French polished neck and head in blonde.

Fretboard spilts repaired, board and truss rod tube refitted and original frets levelled.
Sympathetic machine heads sourced and fitted
. 
Saddle removed and a new one made and adjusted to get a good playable action.
​Overspray cleaned off the inside of the body and neck stick.
New neck stick support posts made as they were sawn through due to being nailed on. Screws used in replacement
Reassembled (a few times).

New cover plate screws sourced and fitted along with longer tail pin screw.​ (Sets of new cover plate screws for sale here.)
Original 17th fret ivory dots reinstalled and a new dot at the 19th fret (clay not Ivory)
Strung with 12 gauge phosphor bronze strings.

The grey primer finish was left untouched at the request of the owner. Yes I know !!
